Having graduated from Newcastle University in 1993 with a BSc in Agricultural Agronomy, I spent the last 20 years working as an agronomist. I am thoroughly enjoying the more ‘hands-on’ approach and diverse challenges that come with being an Independent Agronomist. I believe that to obtain the best margins you have to recognise that the soil management, cultivation techniques, variety choice and fertiliser precision is as important as traditional agronomic inputs.

I am also fully approved BASIS trainer and get great satisfaction from teaching the next generation of agronomists.
